I little break from work, and what to do but wonder.

The world outside my door is chilly, stormy ... I'm sitting here wondering what everyone else is doing out there? This whole world of blogging has expanded my world ... so big. Its so easy to become consumed with all my little worries and concerns, with work and money issues, with my little itty bitty tini tiny spot on this planet... until I start looking out there. Its the blogosphere that has allowed me to do this.

A person can get lost out there! Did you know that?

I'm amazed, and yet not amazed ... at the talent and artistry that makes up this human kingdom of ours. I can't say I've never thought about all that talent before, because I have... alot, actually. But to actually be able to go out there and see it... incredible. Did you ever think this was possible? 10 years ago, did any of us really picture this ability we have to present our own little world to others ... and to have the honor of visiting theirs as well? Wow...

I mean, I got my first real cell phone... it was a brick!... back in 1998. I thought... man, are we ever ever going places! Now I'm thinking... its endless! Now my cellphone is small and stays on 24/7 ... so can get photos of my grandbaby, and text messages from my sons as they're out working or going to school. Connection!

Where will it take us? To someplace wonderful? Away from what's dear to us? Somewhere in between?

I'm not sure of the answer. I hope it will give us all of it. That is, that we can keep and expand on our human potential ... while at the same time protecting what it is that makes us human in the first place. Its like a wave ... and who can stop it? Certainly not us. We are swept along with it... ever expanding, changing, giving us more, taking some of it away...

So I'm taking this little break from work (I get to work at home) ... to think a little bit. To take a few photos. To share. To gather from all of you out there. Amazing

and see the small alcove in my office, a lamp for a little soft light,

My grandma's little box...

... my garden basket waiting for the sun to come out again...

a few crafts distract me...

my Valentines Day collage for my husband...

Now that I've shared a little of my world,
I'd love to just drop work for the whole day
and run around the blogosphere,
absorbing words and pictures that inspire me from all of you ...

but for now, duty calls...
... so back to it.
