Woo Hoo!

(Well, except for the buttons...)

My little Sophia's Birthday dress is almost complete!

and I didn't have to rip a single seam...
... pretty darned relieved about that one!

Now all that remains
is to find a pretty shirt to go under the jumper,
and to find a few child's garden tools
for the other part of her birthday present.

I've been wondering if the gardening bug
would rub off on any of my kids,
and it appears that it has...
Sophia's daddy (my darling son)
has decided its time to put in a garden!

I can't wait to see the progress when I
go up to their house for the birth of our 2nd grandbaby,
and for Sophie's 2nd Birthday!!!

And on the chicken front...

This is Tweetie Pie!

My favorite chick!
Whenever I put my hand into the pen,
she rushes over and jumps on board!
So cute!

  1. This little outfit is absolutely adorable Vicki.
    Sophie will be thrilled.
Tweetie Pie has beautiful feathers in the softest shades, can't wait to see the colours of her eggs.
A new Grandbaby you say how fantastic.
An early Happy Birthday to Sophie too.

  2. Oh Vicki how absolutely gorgeous is Sophie's little outfit...Stunning!!! I bet you are so pleased with it!!! Tweetie Pie is so cute...How cool your Son is starting a garden...if it's anything like his Mum's it will be WOW!!! Happy Happy Birthday to your Darling Sophia...Love to you, Dzintra♥x

  3. What a sweet little outfit. So funny, as you are looking for some gardening tools for Sophie, I just picked up some beach sand castle tools for my friend's little girl Sophie.

And that little chick...SO ADORABLE! And she loves to be held...how very very sweet.

  4. the dress turned out sooooo sweet!!

and tweetie pie. words fail me. the cuteness is almost overwhelming. :)

my parents were happy the gardening gene is in me. my grandparents on my mother's side were farmers. mom says they would be proud. i feel them with me whenever i am in the garden.

  5. What a darling little dress Vicki! It will be loved I'm sure. It seems that when I sew anymore, all I do is pick out the seams. Must be old lady eyes or something akin to it. lol
Sweetie Pie sure made me smile.

  6. Congrats on the finis, Vicki! A very nice dress, and I'm sure Sophie - and the parents - will be thrilled! Great your son is starting a garden! Tweetie Pie - love the name! :) So cute!
